Certified Protection Professional (CPP®)

For years the world has recognized a need for competent professionals who can effectively manage complex security issues that threaten people and the assets of corporations, governments, and public and private institutions. As the emphasis on protecting people, property, and information increases, it has strengthened the demand for professional security administrators, executives and managers.

To meet these needs, the ASIS (American Society of Industrial Security - www.asisonline.org) International Certification Board administers the Certified Protection Professional CPP® designation program. The CPP® is widely recognized as the highest designation awarded security practitioners. .

CPP candidates must meet strict experience and/or education prerequisites and demonstrate competency in all areas of security management, security solutions and best-business practices.

The intensive qualification and testing program includes: criminal/civil investigations, physical security and legal liability aspects of industrial security. CPP’s must also pursue a program of continuing education and professional activity to earn required re-certification every three years.

Less than 10,000 of the millions of security practitioners worldwide have earned this accreditation and have been awarded the coveted CPP® designation. As a result, CPP’s are recognized as proven leaders in their profession.
